Point at which sun or star attains highest altitude

The Three Questions by Jon J Muth

Count Leo Tolstoy was one of Russia’s greatest novelists, philosophers and social reformers.  He wrote War and Peace and Anna Karenina as well as a short story called The Three Questions.  Jon J Muth’s work is based on Leo Tolstoy’s story.  He has beautifully written and illustrated it for a younger audience.  The book is really very satisfying for all ages!  The three questions are:

* When is the best time to do things?

* Who is the most important one?

* What is the right thing to do?

Young Nikolai asks the old turtle for wisdom and finds out the answers through his own response to a stranger’s cry for help…

It is a story about compassion and living in the moment.
