The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

I was given this book by a friend who had read it whilst at the London School of Economics.  She gave it to me years ago, saying this book had the most profound effect on her life.  It is a classic and the kind of book you will read in a couple of sittings (I read most of it on the flight from Paris to NY!).  The information feels so vital, it’s almost impossible to stop once you start.  At the same time, it’s a book you’ll hold on to forever.  It’s like a dictionary, things can be looked up in there every once in a while.

It is a book for success in business, relationships, parenting and basically for all aspects of human development.  Stephen uses examples from the corporate world to dilemmas with the children.  “Seek first to understand, then to be understood” is a life lesson for a lot of us.  This alone can be the recipe for world peace.

It is a very powerful book.  It is well-written and easy to follow.  A highly satisfying experience.
